The question everybody asks first
Is this just SEO?
No, and the difference is not marketing. It is a different shape of answer. SEO tells you where you rank. We tell you whether the chatbot recommends you. A buyer who asks a chatbot never sees a page of results to rank on.
Side by side
They are not the same project
| Traditional search | Saarga |
|---|---|
| Search ranking | AI recommendation |
| Keywords | Buyer questions |
| Search results | AI answers |
| Backlinks | The sources the AI actually reads |
| Google visibility | AI visibility |
| Ranking position | Being named at all |
The last row is the one that matters. In search there is a position seven, and position seven still gets some traffic. In a chatbot answer there is no position seven. There are five or eight names and then the answer stops. You are in it or you are not.
What changes in practice
Three things that work differently
Frequency replaces rank
The useful number is not where you came. It is how many of your buyers’ questions named you at all. In one category we measured, the best score anybody managed was three answers out of fourteen.
Citations replace clicks
The chatbot reads pages before it answers, and those pages are the reason the named companies are named. Knowing which pages decided the answer is the whole diagnosis.
Movement is normal
Ask the same question twice and the answer can shift. That is why one check is a snapshot, and why the questions have to be frozen between runs.
Being fair about it
Where the two genuinely overlap
We are not going to pretend SEO is the enemy. Good pages help both. A clear page that answers a real question earns search traffic and gets quoted in an answer, and much of what a competent SEO does helps here too.
The honest statement of the difference is this: you can rank first on Google for a phrase and still be absent from every answer a chatbot gives. Nothing in your analytics will tell you, because the buyer never arrived.
One thing we will not claim
Nobody can make a chatbot recommend you
Not us, and not anyone else. What can be changed is which pages it finds and trusts, and whether those pages are yours or somebody else’s.
Any service promising a guaranteed mention is promising something it does not control. That was also true of guaranteed first-page rankings, and it was not true then either.
